Job summary

Greencore invites you to join its HR Graduate Programme, a three-year development path across factory and central HR functions. You will gain exposure to HR processes, people analytics, and stakeholder engagement while progressing through three placements in People Services, Operational HR, and Central People and Rewards.

You’ll complete a degree-aligned training plan, supported by regular reviews as you build skills in a dynamic food manufacturing environment across the UK.

Job description

Programme

Our three-year HR Graduate Programme offers comprehensive experience across both factory and central HR functions, providing you with a well-rounded understanding of the people agenda and preparing you for future senior HR roles.

We expect your first six months to be spent within our People Services team, where you will develop a strong foundation in HR processes and practices. You will then move into operational learning, building your experience and preparing you for your second year in Operational HR which will be based at one of our manufacturing sites across the UK. In your third year, you will gain valuable experience within our Central People and Rewards teams, broadening your understanding of the wider people strategy and developing your expertise across key areas of HR. Throughout the programme, you will be given opportunities to take on activities and projects designed to stretch your knowledge, challenge your thinking and support your continued development.

  • You will work with an experienced line manager who will conduct regular performance reviews and support you through a skills checklist to ensure your development.
  • Assuming everything progresses as planned, Greencore will assist you in identifying the right career opportunities upon completing your degree. This could include direct entry roles or positions within our Graduate programmes.
  • From day one, you will take responsibility for your work area and personal development, with comprehensive on-the-job training provided. Throughout your time at Greencore, you will be supported with on-the-job training and development opportunities to further your career.
  • Achieved or expected to achieve at least a 2:2+ honours degree in any discipline but with a preference towards Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management/Administration…
  • At least three months of relevant work experience or demonstrated experience as working as part of a team.
  • Right to work in the UK for a minimum of 3 years from September 2025
  • A clear motivation to deepen knowledge of the food industry, with a desire to learn how Human Resources supports business success.
  • Willingness to complete three 12-month placements at different locations across the UK (we will consider your preferences).
