The role is based in our London Stratford Office with the expectation to visit our operational locations across our network when required.

Brief Description

Are you an HR professional who can lead and support HR teams delivering transformative HR projects? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and making a difference to teams through change? Are you ambitious and looking to work in a team that is striving to improve and deliver a people agenda?

As a HR Business Partner (projects), you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our strategic HR initiatives that align with our goals. This isn’t your traditional HRBP role – you’ll play an important role in delivering and supporting our operational HR team to execute high-impact projects that touch every corner of our business. From redesigning talent frameworks to leading our early careers initiatives, this role revolves around change and improvement.

With the support of a senior HR Business Partner you’ll help in the shaping and delivering the HR strategy to support business objectives and cultivate a high-performance culture. Partnering with leaders across our business and HR colleagues both in Anglia and the centralised functions, you’ll provide guidance on talent, succession planning, and performance management while driving impactful people initiatives for both current and future business needs.

You need to be able to act as a trusted advisor and change agent; you’ll play a key role in transformation programmes, engage trade union relationships, and champion the implementation of HR solutions. You’ll be a strong collaborator and communicator, having an input into how we need to change and develop, including our delivery, policy development, assurance and process to address cross-business challenges to make a lasting impact.

You’ll be able to demonstrate most of the criteria below; if you have some development areas don’t let that put you off applying! We are looking for people with relevant experience, great attitudes and fantastic behaviours.

  1. Demonstrates strong business/commercial approach and understanding of business needs.
  2. Proven experience of working in partnership and building strong working relationships with senior managers in order to improve people management.
  3. Passionate about customer service with ability to articulate previous achievements through business deliverables.
  4. Knowledge and experience of implementing best practice HR solutions to drive a high-performance culture.
  5. Experience of coaching and influencing senior managers.
  6. Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence effectively with all levels of an organisation.
  7. Understands how to work with the business to identify, develop and retain talent.
  8. Excellent technical HR Knowledge - CIPD qualified or relevant experience to demonstrate level of competence.
  9. Proven track record of operating in a complex working environment.
