The post holder will support the delivery of the People plan, providing HR support on a wide range of people-related activities, and work with managers and colleagues across all aspects of the business, including our sister organisation(s) where a service-level agreement is in place.
Length - 6 months FTC with possibilities of going permanent
Salary - £23,809
Location - On-site
Hours - full-time 37.5 hrs/wk (hours don't include break)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the first point of contact for HR queries for employees and managers.
- Support the delivery of the People (HR) strategy and processes.
- Become the subject matter expert for the Recruitment process to ensure seamless onboarding for all new starters.
- Own the delivery of Corporate Induction in person, ensuring the induction and supporting material are accurate and up to date.
- Become the subject matter expert for our HR systems - Harri, ensuring data accuracy within the systems and employee personnel files.
- Take ownership of HR Data and related processes concerning At Work and Leaving Work procedures.
- Ensure site compliance with HR activities, e.g., probation reviews.
- Handle, manage, and analyze data as required for ad-hoc business reporting.
- Support payroll processes with HR information as required.
- Seek opportunities to continuously improve in-house HR-related processes.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or studying towards it.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Reliable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of key employment legislation is essential.
- Employee relations experience is desirable.
- Recruitment experience is desirable but not necessary.
- Proficient in using various IT/HR software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with a willingness to learn new software systems.
