A leading company in Birmingham is seeking an HR professional to support their People plan. The role involves managing HR queries, supporting recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with HR activities. This full-time position offers a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanency.

The post holder will support the delivery of the People plan, providing HR support on a wide range of people-related activities, and work with managers and colleagues across all aspects of the business, including our sister organisation(s) where a service-level agreement is in place.

Length - 6 months FTC with possibilities of going permanent
Salary - £23,809
Location - On-site
Hours - full-time 37.5 hrs/wk (hours don't include break)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the first point of contact for HR queries for employees and managers.
  • Support the delivery of the People (HR) strategy and processes.
  • Become the subject matter expert for the Recruitment process to ensure seamless onboarding for all new starters.
  • Own the delivery of Corporate Induction in person, ensuring the induction and supporting material are accurate and up to date.
  • Become the subject matter expert for our HR systems - Harri, ensuring data accuracy within the systems and employee personnel files.
  • Take ownership of HR Data and related processes concerning At Work and Leaving Work procedures.
  • Ensure site compliance with HR activities, e.g., probation reviews.
  • Handle, manage, and analyze data as required for ad-hoc business reporting.
  • Support payroll processes with HR information as required.
  • Seek opportunities to continuously improve in-house HR-related processes.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Level 5 CIPD qualification or studying towards it.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Reliable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of key employment legislation is essential.
  • Employee relations experience is desirable.
  • Recruitment experience is desirable but not necessary.
  • Proficient in using various IT/HR software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with a willingness to learn new software systems.
