Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a proactive HR Advisor to join our growing HR team in a mid-level, hands-on role. You will work closely with managers and employees, delivering practical HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle.

This hybrid position includes 2 days from home, with standard hours 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday, and opportunities to contribute to HR projects and development initiatives.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 qualification.
• Experience as an HR Advisor at mid-level.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships with managers and employees, providing expert advice across people matters.
• Support the Talent Acquisition Partner with recruitment activities and best practice guidance.
• Prepare employment contracts, amendments and other HR documentation.
• Monitor sickness absence and advise managers on absence procedures.
• Identify learning and development needs through discussions with managers.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll work closely with managers and employees, providing practical HR advice across the full employee lifecycle and supporting the delivery of key HR initiatives.

• Build strong and effective working relationships with managers and employees, providing expert advice and guidance across the full range of people matters to ensure a fair, consistent and legally compliant approach to people management.
• Support the Talent Acquisition Partner with recruitment activities, providing advice on recruitment and selection best practice where required.
• Prepare employment contracts, contractual amendments and other HR documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor sickness absence, identify trends and provide advice to managers on absence management procedures and best practice.
• Identify learning and development needs through discussions with managers and workforce planning activities.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the People function.

HR Advisor will have / be:
