Four Recruitment is supporting an employer in the Stockport area in their search for an HR Advisor on a 12-month FTC. This generalist role delivers a comprehensive HR service across the organisation.

The role involves advising managers on HR policies, managing employee relations, and supporting with onboarding, absence, and HR data. Hybrid role, with options for full-time or reduced hours.

• Provide advice and guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters
• Managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance and probationary processes
• Supporting managers with investigations, hearings and the preparation of appropriate documentation
• Overseeing absence management and monitoring trends
• Coordinating onboarding and pre-employment checks, ensuring adherence to safer recruitment processes
• Supporting with annual leave administration, parental leave queries and the accurate maintenance of employee records
• Producing and analysing HR management information, identifying trends and opportunities to improve employee engagement and retention
• Supporting with the delivery of HR inductions and management training

I am currently supporting a client of mine based in the Stockport area with their search for a HR Advisor, initially to join them on a 12-month FTC. This is a true generalist role in which you will play a key role in delivering an effective and comprehensive HR service across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied HR role, building strong relationships and helping managers navigate people challenges confidently and effectively.

In this role you will take responsibility for the following:

• Providing advice and guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters
• Managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance and probationary processes, ensuring cases are handled fairly and consistently
• Supporting managers with investigations, hearings and the preparation of appropriate documentation
• Overseeing absence management and monitoring trends
• Coordinating onboarding and pre-employment checks, ensuring adherence to safer recruitment processes
• Supporting with annual leave administration, parental leave queries and the accurate maintenance of employee records
• Producing and analysing HR management information, identifying trends and opportunities to improve employee engagement and retention
• Supporting with the delivery of HR inductions and management training

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone operating at HR Advisor level to broaden their experience and add value to a growing organisation. If you have previously worked in either care or education this would be advantageous but not essential.
