Job summary

Lily Shippen is recruiting on behalf of a well-established family-run self-storage and property business for a part-time HR Advisor in West London (UB6). The role supports senior management across all HR areas, owning the full lifecycle and coaching managers on employee relations.

Travel to sites in several cities is required, with on-site work and a pro rata salary up to £50,000 FTE. Ideal candidates will have standalone HR experience, CIPD Level 5 preferred, and strong IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as standalone HR Advisor or generalist HR role.
• Experience supporting a multi-site business.
• Advising and coaching managers on employee relations matters.
• Experience managing full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance & offboarding.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification preferred.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a standalone HR Advisor or generalist HR role
• Strong experience supporting a multi-site business is essential
• Confident advising and coaching managers on employee relations matters
• Experience managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and offboarding
• CIPD Level 5 qualification preferred
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be able to drive and commute to the West London (UB6) office, as it is not easily accessible by public transport
• Willingness to travel occasionally to sites in Manchester, London, Bath and Bristol
