Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor for a major defense project near Reading, Aldermaston. This contract role runs until 31/12/2026 and offers a Temp-to-Perm pathway.

The role requires BPSS clearance and involves delivering HSW guidance across a large M&E fit-out, with 42.5 hours per week at a rate of £55/hour inside IR35 umbrella. Key responsibilities include site inspections, KPI delivery, training and inductions, and investigation of incidents, while

Qualifications

• NEBOSH or equivalent in safety management.
• Experience in health and safety roles, preferably in highway, major projects, or construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation skills and staff management understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, active support and effective Health, Safety and Wellbeing advice to a large defense project featuring a major M&E fit-out.
• Support the HSW Manager in delivering HSW KPIs and fulfilling other duties to meet project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and audit Health and Safety against the Management System to ensure compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote the Zero Harm Journey Plan and encourage safe behaviours among staff and sub-contractors.
• Liaise with Environmental and Quality auditors to ensure H&S integration with compliance and manage external audits.
• Deliver health and safety inductions, training, and presentations, including Drugs & Alcohol testing.
• Assist in investigating and reporting on accidents and incidents, including causational analysis.
