Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Manager (HSSE) to support their Process & Energy Service Line across the UK. The role requires significant experience in HSE, especially within high-hazard sectors, and involves leadership, planning, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HSSE standards and fostering teamwork across departments.

Wood is recruiting a Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Manager (HSSE) to support our Process & Energy Service Line across the UK.

This role could be based in Stockton, Glasgow, or Ellesmere Port's office.

Minimum Requirements
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Trained and competent Internal Auditor.
  • Membership of a recognised HSSE related institute (e.g., IOSH, MIIRSM, IEMA).
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Technical, HSEQ, or related industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years HSE experience, preferably with exposure to roles supporting multi-contract/location portfolios.
  • Experience practicing HSSE in the Oil & Gas or similar high-hazard sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HSSE standards and legal requirements.
  • Experience working with Quality and HSSE Management Systems.
  • Leadership experience is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of internal and external audits and third-party certification audit practices.
