HSE Recruitment are working with a global manufacturing business who are seeking a HSE Manager to lead their site in Aston, Birmingham. This is a demanding, high risk site, with high expectations, which will suit someone who thrives in a fast paced, challenging environment. You will be taking over from a long standing HSE Manager who has been an integral part of driving culture change in the last decade, through a zero harm agenda. They haven’t achieved this alone, there is visible health and safety leadership across the board, with all areas of the business taking accountability. You have one direct report who shows great potential but is still early in their health and safety career, so needs nurturing and mentoring. No two days are the same here, whether it is dealing with environmental requirements, emergency management, ongoing CAPEX projects or fire risk preventions strategies. Working within a matrix structure, you will demonstrate hands on leadership, focusing on driving high standards of health and safety compliance across the site, reporting day to day into the Plant Director. You will also work closely with a European HSE Manager as well as the American parent company.
This is a site based with core hours Monday-Friday 8.30-4.30.
Circa £65,000 salary, £4940 car allowance, eligible for quarterly bonus, pension matched up to 8%, healthcare, dental and 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
