Job summary

Irwin and Colton is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager for its Ashby-de-la-Zouch site. The role leads HSE strategy, ensures lawful compliance and drives a safety-first culture across a fast-paced FMCG operation with 650+ colleagues.

The ideal candidate will hold NEBOSH Diploma (or NVQ Level 6) and demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder influence and knowledge of UK HSE legislation. A rewarding package includes a £60K base, £6K car allowance and a bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma (or NVQ Level 6 or equivalent HSE qualification) is required.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing safety teams in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Solid knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the site's HSE strategy, policies and procedures.
• Lead safety culture initiatives, engagement and capability building across the site.
• Manage and develop the HSE and Facilities teams, ensuring high performance.
• Provide expert guidance on risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance.
• Support major projects requiring HSE expertise, from planning through to execution.
