Job summary

Irwin and Colton is seeking a Regional Health & Safety Manager to lead health, safety, and compliance across multiple distribution centres and transport locations. You will collaborate with senior leadership to implement best practices and ensure legal compliance, while driving a strong safety culture across all sites.

The role requires proven HSE management experience in logistics/warehousing/transport, knowledge of UK H&S legislation, and NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing health and safety within logistics, warehousing, or transport operations.
• Solid knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practices
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
• Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (additional safety memberships a plus)

Responsibilities

• Leading safety strategy and promoting a strong safety-first culture across all locations
• Conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance
• Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
• Overseeing transport safety standards, driver compliance, and fleet safety procedures
• Developing safety training programmes and engaging with teams to enhance safety awareness
