Job summary

Saipem is seeking an HSE Engineer in the United Kingdom (Talacre) to develop, manage and improve the safety management system across EPIC projects. You will report to the Project HSE manager and support HSE procedures, audits and supplier evaluations.

The role is contractor, full time (5.5 days per week) with responsibilities across risk management, regulatory compliance and CDM documentation. Start date as soon as a suitable candidate is found; UK right-to-work status required.

Qualifications

  • Education in HSE or engineering; Nebosh diploma.
  • 3–7 years in Oil & Gas with onshore projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level.
  • Lead risk management processes (HAZOP/HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management, Risk Assessment).
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and conduct internal HSE audits.
  • Coordinate and prepare HSE files per CDM regulations.
  • Review supplier HSE documents for project requirements.

Purpose of the position

As HSE Engineer you will report to the Project HSE manager. You will ensure the correct development, management and improvement of the safety management system throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC Projects) of our ENI Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage).

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities
  • Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level
  • Lead Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment, etc.)
  • Support implementation and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Plan and conduct internal HSE audits
  • Coordinate and prepare HSE files and other deliverables following CDM regulations
  • Complete supplier HSE evaluations, readiness reviews and review supplier HSE documents to ensure they meet the Project requirements
  • Cover for HSE Trainer, PTW Officer and HSE Officer
  • Records, coordinates and monitors HSE Performance and KPI's
What are we looking for?
  • Education: Qualification in HSE or engineering related field, Nebosh diploma
  • Experience: 3-7 years in the Oil&Gas industry and onshore projects with activities in construction design regulation management and survery/investigation
