Job summary

Saipem seeks an HSE Engineer to support the Liverpool Bay Decommissioning & CCS project from the UK. The role reports to the Project HSE manager and steers the development and improvement of the safety management system across EPIC phases.

Responsibilities include leading risk management, audits, CDM-compliant HSE files, and investigations. Requires 3–7 years in Oil & Gas with ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification. Outside IR35, contractor role, Talacre with travel to London.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in Oil & Gas industry and onshore projects.
• Experience in construction design regulation management and survey/investigation.
• Nebosh diploma or equivalent HSE/engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level.
• Lead Risk Management processes (HAZOP/HAZID, RM etc.).
• Support adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and conduct internal HSE audits.
• Coordinate and prepare HSE files following CDM regulations.
• Lead accident/incident investigations.
• Complete supplier HSE evaluations and readiness reviews.
• Cover for HSE Trainer, PTW Officer and HSE Officer.
• Record, coordinate and monitor HSE performance and KPIs.

Job description

HSE Engineer Purpose of the position: As HSE Engineer you will report to the Project HSE manager. You will ensure the correct development, management and improvement of the safety management system throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC Projects) of our ENI Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage).

Responsibilities

• Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level
• Lead Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment, etc.)
• Support implementation and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Plan and conduct internal HSE audits
• Coordinate and prepare HSE files and other deliverables following CDM regulations
• Lead accident / incident investigation
• Complete supplier HSE evaluations, readiness reviews and review supplier HSE documents to ensure they meet the Project requirements
• Cover for HSE Trainer, PTW Officer and HSE Officer
• Records, coordinates and monitors HSE Performance and KPI's

What are we looking for?

• Education: Qualification in HSE or engineering related field, Neboshdiploma
• Experience: 3-7 years in the Oil&Gasindustry and onshore projects with activities in construction design regulation management and survery/investigation
• Certification: ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
