Job summary

Irwin and Colton is partnering with a leading global manufacturer of advanced technology and engineering systems to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor. Based at the Buckinghamshire site with occasional travel to Cheltenham, you will support the Head of HSE in delivering site-wide strategy and continuous improvement.

The role requires proven HSE experience, NEBOSH certification, IOSH membership, and strong knowledge of UK legislation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within a manufacturing, chemical or industrial environment.
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (minimum) and membership of IOSH or another relevant professional body
• Ideally hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, or be working towards this
• A strong technical knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head of Health, Safety and Environment in ensuring the site is compliant with UK legislation and aligned with wider Group Health, Safety and Environment strategy
• Helping to develop and implement initiatives to improve health and safety performance, awareness and understanding across the business
• Supporting regular auditing across health, safety and environmental performance, as well as the reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses
• Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders, including employees, contractors, regulators and relevant enforcement agencies
