Job summary

Global Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Advisor on an ongoing contract basis. The role covers the Midlands/South West with UK travel to various sites.

You will support the UK EHS Manager, drive improvements, and ensure compliance across facilities and depots, including rail service operations. Key qualifications include NEBOSH H&S Certificate, driving licence, ISO45001/ISO14001 familiarity, and strong risk assessment skills.

Qualifications

NEBOSH H&S Certificate or equivalent essential.
Full UK driving licence required.
Knowledge of ISO14001 and 45001 standards.
Experience with RAMS and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

Assist UK EHS Manager with leadership and support for Field Services and manufacturing facilities.
Develop and present EHS briefings after legal updates and incident info.
Provide EHS advice for UK facilities and Rail Service teams.
Conduct inspections, audits, safety tours and document findings.
Ensure legal compliance across facilities and depots.
Drive continual improvement and action plans aligned with group strategy.
Prepare management system reviews with KPI/ audit data.
Create and maintain Safety, Health & Environmental Improvement plans.
Halt dangerous practices when imminent risk is present.
Facilitate near-miss/incident investigations and corrective actions.
