Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking an HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People Operations team in a hybrid role. You will own the recruitment process from attraction through onboarding, build talent pipelines, and foster relationships with schools to grow our future talent.

You’ll support the employee lifecycle and HR initiatives with coaching and analytics. This role offers hands-on ownership, opportunities to shape our ways of working, and a clear path to develop across HR and Talent

Responsibilities

• Produce People dashboards and analytics to inform decisions.
• Support HR policies, employment law updates, and culture initiatives.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning our in-house recruitment process from attraction through to onboarding, including direct sourcing, screening, interview coordination and candidate experience
• Building talent pipelines and championing our employee referral scheme
• Developing relationships with schools, colleges and universities to help build our future talent
• Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, contracts, records and offboarding
• Producing People dashboards and analytics that help inform business decisions
• Supporting HR policy and employment law updates, internal L&D, culture and engagement initiatives, and company events

The role will be based 4 days per week from our Aylesbury office, with 1 day per week working from home.

What we’re looking for

• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, AI tools and digital systems
• A proactive, can-do approach and genuine interest in HR and talent acquisition

Previous recruitment experience, either agency or internal, is strongly preferred, alongside familiarity with an ATS or CRM.
