Job summary

National Audit Office in London is seeking an HR Systems and Business Analyst to shape the future of HR. You will translate organisational needs into practical system and process solutions, supporting the NAO Strategy and the AI Strategy.

You will support the HRIS team, map and optimise HR processes across the employee lifecycle, build dashboards with Power BI, ensure data quality and governance, and enable automation with careful human oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, Business Administration, Data Analytics or related field.
• Experience in HR analytics, business analysis or related analytical role.
• Experience with process mapping, analysis and improvement.
• Understanding of the employee lifecycle and HR functions.
• Proven data analysis and visualization skills.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and knowledge of key vendors.
• Power BI: building dashboards and data modelling.
• Excel: advanced formulas, pivots and data analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset and data-driven recommendations.
• Ability to translate data into clear narratives and insights.

Responsibilities

• Consult with HR partners to understand business needs and translate into requirements.
• Map and analyse current-state HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
• Identify inefficiencies and gaps through data analysis and stakeholder input.
• Proactively identify high-value use cases and actionable plans.
• Design and implement future-state processes aligned with goals.
• Develop workflow diagrams and SOPs to embed processes.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance and HR leaders to ensure integration.
