Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the Human Resources team. The role focuses on providing HR advice to operational leaders, handling employee relations casework, and supporting recruitment and the colleague lifecycle across allocated business areas.

You will work alongside HR Business Partners, using HR data to track trends and inform reporting. CIPD-level knowledge is desirable, with a strong emphasis on values-led, pragmatic HR support.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR advice or support role.
• Confidence managing employee relations casework.
• Confidence interpreting HR policies.
• Experience using people data to support decisions.
• Strong communication and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience of supporting organisational change or workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to allocated business areas so people processes run efficiently and consistently.
• Support HR Business Partners with people plans and organisational priorities.
• Manage employee relations casework and advise managers in a timely, pragmatic and values-led way.
• Support recruitment, the colleague lifecycle, payroll, benefits and colleague experience across business areas.
• Identify ways to improve people processes and services and share recommendations with the wider HR team.
• Use HR data to monitor trends, track casework and support reporting and presentations.
• Contribute to workforce planning, capability development, organisational design and change initiatives where required.
