The Role

The purpose of this position is to support the HR team with generalist duties, including:

• Being the first point of contact for all HR/ER queries, focusing on shift workers in warehousing & transport (operations) departments, working collaboratively with the HR team
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Operations and employees
• Managing initial ER issues such as Absenteeism, Disciplinaries, and Grievances. Assisting and guiding managers in decision-making
• Monitoring holidays and overtime, setting payroll, and managing bonuses
• Understanding business issues and supporting improvements, priorities, and key drivers, ensuring HR influences key business decisions

Your Skills & Experience

To be considered, you will need:

• Experienced HR professional with knowledge of employment legislation and CIPD level 3
• Background in the food & drink manufacturing or distribution industry
• Solid experience working with shift workers in warehouse & transport/operations
• Extensive experience handling ER cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, absenteeism, attendance, and holidays
• Excellent communication skills, sound IT skills, and a positive attitude
• Highly analytical and IT literate
