Job description

Job Description
HR Officer - People Policy Governance | 11094 | Fixed Term Contract/ Secondment Opportunity until 31 March 2028 | 37 hours per week | £29,064 to £31,022 per annum (Scale F) | County Hall, Hybrid working

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Human Resources (HR) People Policy Governance team. We are responsible for implementing and developing the County Council's employment offer, providing HR expertise and delivering HR and other organisation priorities. We also manage employee benefits and pay decisions and reviews.

In this varied role you will administer freedom of information (FOI) and subject access requests (SAR's) and aspects of our employee pay and benefits. You will also support team members on projects and may be asked to attend project meetings, carry out research, collate findings into reports and provide recommendations.

Other work will include updating policies and supporting guidance, responding to enquiries from managers and employees, calculating pay and audit information, writing communications and general team administration.

You will need good investigation and analytical skills and the ability to work to set timescales and manage your workload.

You will work on Excel spreadsheets for pay calculations and auditing so will need attention to detail and ability to check that data, formulas and sums are correct. We also want to expand our use of SharePoint, so a good understanding of IT systems and processes, or the ability to pick up technical IT instructions quickly is required.

You need to be flexible and adapt as priorities change, and confident enough to contribute your ideas to team discussions and to work with people at all levels of the organisation.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact Annilee Ketchell on annilee.ketchell@norfolk.gov.uk.
