Job summary

Recruitable Staffing Solutions is recruiting an experienced HR Officer for our client based in Warwick. This hands-on generalist role combines day-to-day HR support with the opportunity to shape HR policies and processes as the business grows.

The HR Officer will coordinate recruitment, onboarding and leaver processes, provide first-line HR support, update policies, manage confidential records and prepare payroll information for an external provider. Three-month temp-to-perm arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a UK-based generalist HR role (3–5 years preferred).
• Hands-on HR support and policy improvement experience.

Location: Warwick
Salary: £38,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Three-month temp-to-perm, transferring to direct employment with our client following successful completion
Looking for a hands-on HR role where you can help shape how a growing business supports its people? Recruitable Staffing Solutions is recruiting an experienced HR Officer for our client based in Warwick. This varied generalist position combines day-to-day HR support with the opportunity to improve policies, processes and ways of working. You'll work closely with management, helping build fair, consistent and practical HR practices as the business grows.

The role
Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and leaver processes.
• Providing first-line HR support to employees and management.
• Reviewing existing HR practices, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Drafting and updating HR policies and procedures for management approval.
• Maintaining accurate, confidential employee records.
• Managing absence and attendance records, checking routine timesheets and preparing payroll information for an external provider.
• Supporting HR planning, budgets and reporting.
• Implementing agreed HR initiatives and monitoring their progress.
• Escalating sensitive matters or significant decisions to management when appropriate.

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in a UK-based generalist HR or HR Officer role, ideally around three to five years.
• Practical knowledge of UK employment rights and day-to-day HR processes.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A confident, approachable communication style.
• The ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
• A proactive approach, with the judgement to recognise when management approval or specialist advice is needed.

You don't need experience in every responsibility listed. A strong grounding in generalist HR and the ability to take ownership of day-to-day processes are key.
