Job summary

Avensys UK Limited, a leading biomedical engineering company, seeks an HR Manager for a maternity cover based at our Head Office in Kidderminster. The role leads the HR function, delivering people strategy, policies, compliance, and employee lifecycle management across the business.

You will drive engagement, talent management, and change initiatives, coaching managers and supporting a high-performing culture with strong regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or an HR-related degree is required.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience delivering strategic HR initiatives and organisational change.
• Proven ability to lead and develop HR teams and coach managers.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases and providing guidance to managers.
• Experience analysing HR data to drive decision-making and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all HR activities across the business and align with people strategy.
• Produce HR reports, metrics, and insights for internal stakeholders.
• Develop, review, and implement HR policies ensuring legal compliance.
• Provide leadership and development to the HR team; foster continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with employment law, data protection, equality, and internal policies.
• Oversee recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, engagement, performance, rewards, and admin.
• Drive improvement initiatives to boost engagement, wellbeing, productivity, and organisational effectiveness.
• Coach managers and senior leaders to develop capability and retain talent.
• Handle complex employee relations matters with fair, legally compliant outcomes.
