We’re now looking for an HR Manager to join our team on-site in Guildford on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This exciting hands-on opportunity will be crucial in shaping our studio’s day-to-day HR operations to ensure everything runs seamlessly; a truly hands-on tactical HR role!
Here’s just a snippet of what you’ll be up to:
- Oversee and manage all daily HR functions
- Manage and mentor the HR team to ensure they’re well supported and have opportunities for career growth and development
- Develop clear policies and processes across the employee lifecycle, implementing and communicating effectively across the studio
- Work closely with the HR Advisor to support ER cases and provide guidance
- Collaborate with the HR Administrator to review and optimize HR processes and systems
- Partner with the Recruitment Lead on recruitment initiatives
- Support the Head of HR in implementing new projects or initiatives
- Provide advice, support, and coaching to line managers and employees
What we’re looking for:
- Proven HR experience in an SME environment, preferably in creative or tech industries
- Strong generalist background covering all HR functions
- Leadership and team management skills, with experience managing HR teams
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach with a focus on principles over process
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, personable, enthusiastic, empathetic
- Ability to create internal communications that promote a friendly, informal yet professional tone
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly, including experience with system configuration and implementation
- Solid understanding of UK employment laws, regulations, and best practices
