Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company, is actively seeking a senior HR leader to deliver strategic and operational HR across aligned business areas in the UK. You will partner with business leaders and the Talent team to shape workforce plans, drive inclusion, and advance organisational design through change initiatives.

You will apply analytics to identify root causes, coach leaders, manage complex data, and navigate industrial relations and collective bargaining to support union negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years relevant HR experience including industrial relations and collective bargaining.
  • Proven project management skills with knowledge of project management approaches and tools.
  • Strong understanding of analytics with ability to apply insights commercially to identify root causes.
  • Experience in change planning and management, including managing organisational changes.
  • Skilled in handling sensitive personal and complex data with integrity.
  • Excellent negotiation and coaching skills to develop and support leaders.
  • Strong management and leadership capabilities to motivate others effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in HR management software and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the strategic and operational HR agenda to aligned business areas.

  • Partner with business leaders and Talent team to develop workforce and demand plans, managing full-time equivalent planning process.
  • Use metrics and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for business performance improvement.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion continuously, developing progressive plans and analyzing DEI metrics.
  • Implement talent development plans with diverse pipelines to secure future workforce and skills.
  • Lead organisation design initiatives, guiding business through restructuring, communication, consultation, implementation, and change management.
  • Coach leaders and drive development of people capability in line management to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Support business leaders in pay negotiations, recognition processes, employee relations agenda, and contribute to union working groups.
  • Upskill line managers on focus areas including diversity, inclusion, and health and wellbeing.
  • Lead and manage HR-related projects as appropriate.
