Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company, seeks a Maintenance Working Supervisor to lead safe and efficient operation of mechanical equipment in London. You will inspect, diagnose faults and oversee planned maintenance using SAP, coordinating internal teams and external contractors.

Essentially you will manage permit-to-work procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance. A Level 4 Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), ATEX qualification, and strong English communication

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
  • ATEX qualification and ability to work in explosive environments is ideal.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or scientific environment.
  • Systematic and logical problem-solving approach.
  • Strong communication skills and good command of English.
  • Experience with SAP and MS Office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect mechanical equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation and diagnose faults.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and testing; install new equipment; perform Planned Maintenance in SAP.
  • Enforce Permit to Work procedures; ensure safe work by internal team and contractors.
  • Engage and manage contractors for civil, mechanical, instrument and electrical work.
  • Maintain records of all equipment on site: installation dates, repairs, maintenance and safety inspections.

  • Finally you will be responsible for maintaining records and documentation of all mechanical equipment on site including installation dates, repairs, maintenance and safety inspections.

What Makes You Great
  • You are energetic, self-motivated and disciplined
  • In addition, you have a level 4 Apprenticeship (or equivalent trade experience) in Mechanical Engineering
  • ATEX Qualification and comfortability working in atmosphere explosive environments is ideal
  • Experience of operating in a manufacturing, engineering or scientific environment is preferred
  • You have a systematic and logical approach to problem solving
  • Furthermore, as a team player you possess great communication skills as well as a good command of English
  • And lastly experience of MS Office Programs and SAP would be beneficial
