Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim UK is offering an HR internship for September 2027. You will join a busy HR team and contribute to onboarding, governance of roles, and talent development using data and analytics. You will build programs on the BI University platform and help grow the early careers and intern initiatives.

You will work with the Total Rewards and HRBP teams, gain broad exposure to HR processes, compliance, and reporting, and benefit from hybrid working and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a degree in Human Resources Management or Business Management and completing a placement year as part of the course.
• 3 A levels at grade ABB (minimum).
• The right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship.
• The ability to travel independently to the usual place of work and, where required, to other sites.
• Able to use AI prompts effectively, with proven examples of using AI to streamline tasks and get a more positive output.
• Experience of using Power Automate to drive efficiencies in outputs.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new hires effectively by developing improvements for the onboarding experience and leading the welcome day.
• Support governance of job descriptions, including transition to a skills-based approach.
• Assist talent development and talent management using data and analytics.
• Build development programmes on the AI-driven BI platform and promote the BI University learning platform.
• Support Early Careers Community activities and intern program calendar planning.
• Support the Total Rewards team with initiatives on job evaluations, benchmarking, salary structures and benefits management.
• Deliver accurate HR reports and maintain/improve dashboards.
• Assist with employee relations issues and support HRBP with performance and ER risk.
• Participate in restructures and organisational design as required.
• Carry out general HR administration.
