Job summary

The University of Oxford's School of Geography and the Environment is seeking an organised HR Officer to join its HR team, supporting recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and immigration processes within a collaborative academic setting.

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will manage HR records, prepare contracts, coordinate inductions, and help improve HR processes while upholding strict confidentiality and policy compliance. Internal applicants only.

Qualifications

• HR experience, ideally in higher education or similar environment.
• Good understanding of UK employment law and policy.
• Experience with HR systems and immigration administration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll and visa processes.
• Prepare employment contracts and coordinate induction activities.
• Assist with HR process improvements while maintaining confidentiality.
