We're looking for an HR Compliance Advisor to join our HR Shared Services team based in Rushden.

Location: Rushden - hybrid working available, with 1-2 days per week in the Rushden office as required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As an HR Compliance Advisor, you'll support the HR Shared Services team with right to work and immigration activities across Kier, including employment screening such as DBS checks and security clearance. A key part of this role involves managing Kier's Home Office Licences and Skilled Worker sponsorship procedures, as well as developing and delivering right to work training for recruitment.

Your day-to-day will include:
  • Providing guidance on UK immigration enquiries and managing the ‘HR Compliance' queue on Oracle Service Cloud within SLA, seeking legal support as needed.
  • Staying updated with Home Office rule changes and updating guidance and training documents accordingly.
  • Supporting recruiters, HRBPs, and hiring managers with Skilled Worker sponsorship processes.
  • Ensuring processes and procedures are understood and followed, updating process maps and LWIs as necessary.
  • Processing certificates of sponsorship requests, ensuring documentation meets Home Office requirements.
  • Managing the Resident Permit expiry reminder process, obtaining updated right to work copies and records by deadlines.

  • Have experience with right to work processes and UKVI SMS for sponsored migrant workers.
  • Possess strong communication skills and high literacy standards to effectively engage with stakeholders.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Are confident with Microsoft Office applications and HR systems like Oracle.
  • Can identify risks and provide feedback and solutions promptly.
