The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic HR advice to senior operational stakeholders and implementing the divisional HR and balanced business plans.

Your core responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic and operational HR advice to the divisional Senior Leadership Team and their Regional Management teams, attending senior leadership meetings and operations meetings as required.
  2. Support in the delivery of large-scale TUPE transfers and manage local consultation exercises (e.g., redundancies, pay negotiations, organisational change, etc.).
  3. Provide employee and industrial relations support, focusing on trade union engagement, high-level grievances, disciplinaries, and employment law situations.
  4. Support regional management teams in implementing key employee relations projects and activities.
  5. Work with operational teams to develop succession plans and drive management development.
  6. Promote and drive employee engagement, assisting with engagement plans.
  7. Develop and coach line managers for effective people management, mitigating ER risks.
  8. Implement the Divisional HR Strategy aligned with the Division’s Balanced Business Plan (BBP).
  9. Lead people analytics initiatives to enhance management decision-making.
  10. Lead change management and organisational development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering projects in a trade unionised environment, including restructures, organisational change, TUPE, and acquisitions.
  • Ability to support senior managers in trade union negotiations and activities.
  • Strong understanding of performance management, talent management, and succession planning.
