Job description

Join to apply for the HR Business Partner role at Mr Price Apparel.

My client is a successful logistics company seeking a HR Business Partner to join their busy team. The role involves driving business results and increasing colleague engagement by partnering with leaders and colleagues to support the organisation's people strategy and broader business objectives. Working hours are 8am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

You will provide support and guidance on all aspects of people management, including employment relations and HR best practices.

Responsibilities Include (but Not Limited To):
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster trust and professionalism.
  2. Advise and coach managers on the people agenda.
  3. Support HR compliance and report on key data via HR systems.
  4. Assist with HR administration and ensure employment law compliance.
  5. Lead HR projects and support the development of HR policies and procedures.
  6. Manage investigations, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
  7. Provide guidance on employee relations cases, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to policies.
  8. Build relationships with management and union representatives.
  9. Support pay negotiations and upskill managers through training initiatives.
  10. Monitor sickness absence and manage health-related issues, providing reports.
  11. Handle flexible working requests in compliance with legislation.
  12. Support HR system implementations and projects, including TUPE.
  13. Assist with recruitment and other HR initiatives.
  14. Travel as needed to support business operations.
Candidate Requirements:
  • CIPD Qualification (minimum Level 5).
  • Degree or equivalent (desirable).
  • Valid driving license and business insurance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, HR systems, and communication tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and judgment.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Senior HR Advisor or HRBP.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment with good union relations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with resilience and adaptability.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to safety and compliance standards.
