Job description

On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a HR Associate (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract.

Hybrid working - 2 /3 days per week at Aldermaston Office site.

To work within one of the HR sub function teams to provide efficient and effective HR services and first point of contact support for the business, working to agreed service levels and delivering a customer centric service.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Deliver high quality, timely and accurate transactional HR services within SLA requirements.
  2. Deliver efficient and effective HR support to customers, providing first point of contact services through HRIS, telephone, email and walk-ins.
  3. Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain workload and case trackers to enable the reporting of service performance and identification of improvements.
  2. Ensure the HR Information System is accurately updated, and transactions are processed in a timely fashion.
  3. Ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is accurate and in accordance with approved templates.
  4. Deliver routine scheduled activities.
  5. Support line managers, employees and candidates in the effective use of self-service HR technologies.
  6. Escalate issues in accordance with the relevant escalation process in a timely fashion.
  7. Maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external colleagues and customers, ensuring process hand-offs are properly executed.
  8. Support ad hoc project work, Company and HR initiatives, providing administrative services and, on occasion, face to face support.
  9. Assist in the testing and maintenance of the HRIS.
  10. Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence and peak workload demands.
  11. Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest changes to enhance services, systems or address issues and actively participate in process improvement activity.
  12. Ensure HR related documentation (hard copy and electronic) is appropriately handled, managed and retained in compliance with data privacy regulations, including the archiving process; and ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is accurate, using approved templates.
  13. Ensure local work instructions are followed to maintain process compliance and quality.
  14. Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times and that the appropriate Company classifications are applied.
  15. Maintain understanding of up-to-date employment regulations, applicable laws and Company policy.

Essential Qualifications:
  1. SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
  2. TUPE experience.
  3. Experience of supporting Senior HRBP.
  4. Generalist HR Administration experience.
  5. Attention to detail.
  6. Demonstrable experience of working at pace.
  7. Microsoft Office - Excel / Word / Outlook - Excel to intermediate level.
