Job summary

NYAS in Birkenhead is seeking a proactive HR Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the HR team and the wider NYAS workforce across England and Wales. The role offers hybrid working with a mix of home and office days.

You will handle end-to-end recruitment, maintain the HR system and reporting, support employee relations, contribute to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and assist with routine HR queries and administration while handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• Organised and motivated with strong admin experience.
• Clear communication and high attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work across teams.
• Experience in HR or recruitment is welcome but not essential.
• Support to obtain CIPD Level 5 after 12 months.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Recruitment: manage the full cycle from advert to appointment, including DBS and references.
• HR System & Reporting: maintain the HR system and produce regular reports.
• Employee Relation Support: assist with HR case notes and admin.
• EDI: participate in and support the inclusion initiatives.
• HR Queries & Administrative Support: handle routine HR queries and general admin.
