Job summary

CarnaudMetalbox Engineering (CMbE) is seeking an HR Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is predominantly based in Wortley, with the requirement to cover Shipley as needed.

You will support the Head of HR in delivering consistent, compliant HR practices across the business. UK employment law expertise, employee relations experience, and strong HRIS/Payroll skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a generalist HR role with employee relations exposure.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or a bachelor’s degree in HR.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and compliance.
• Experience advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, and recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of HR in delivering consistent HR practices.
• Cover HR activities including recruitment, benefits, sickness absence, and occupational health liaison.
• Maintain accurate HR systems and payroll data, and generate reports.
• Advise managers and coach them on complex HR issues.
