Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Newark is seeking an HR Advisor to partner with operational managers across our Newark, Bolton, Bristol, London Gateway and Stevenage sites. You will deliver the people agenda, provide expert HR support, drive engagement and help create a positive, high-performing culture.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00. You’ll bring strong ER experience, confidence coaching managers, and CIPD qualification or commitment to achieve it.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced HR environments with generalist duties.
• Strong employee relations knowledge and coaching skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• CIPD qualified or willing to work toward a professional HR qualification.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational managers on recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management and performance-related matters
• Support the delivery of the site's HR People Plan, helping to build a positive culture and drive colleague engagement initiatives
• Provide practical HR advice and coaching to managers, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures
• Support talent development activities including appraisals, succession planning, leadership development and training workshops
• Produce management information and support compliance with employment legislation, HR policies and payroll processes
