Job summary

HICA Group in Hessle is recruiting an HR Advisor to join our HR Department. The role is full-time (37 hours per week) and based at our Head Office in Hesslewood Country Business Park. Travel to services may be required and own vehicle access is essential.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will balance reactive operational HR delivery with proactive coaching and root-cause analysis of people-related matters. Enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a HR Advisor with a track record in managing complex ER matters.
• Excellent understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
• Willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of key customers and achieve outcomes.
• Salary – between £30,000 - £36,000 depending on experience.
• Annual leave – 25 days inclusive of bank holidays.
• Mileage allowance and travel requirements.
• Full paid training from day one.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and advising managers on a range of employee relations issues with guidance and letters.
• Referring to specialists for health/absence issues where required.
• Advising on employment lifecycle matters such as holidays and Working Time Regulations.
• Collaborating with recruitment to support onboarding processes.
• Identifying root causes of recurring issues and implementing solutions.
• Coaching and training managers in HR policy and best practice.
• Assisting with change management exercises across the group.
