Job summary

AHR is offering a hands-on Senior HR Advisor or HR Advisor role in Huddersfield. You will support the full employee lifecycle, act as the first point of contact for HR queries, and deliver a high-quality HR service to 280 employees across 9 UK offices.

You will manage a busy workload in a small team, handling contracts, onboarding, policy guidance and system improvements while collaborating with payroll and managers.

Qualifications

• Broad HR generalist experience at HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor level.
• Strong knowledge of general employment law and its practical day-to-day application.
• Experience advising employees and managers on day-to-day employee relations matters.
• Excellent IT skills and confidence with Excel and HR systems.
• Able to manage a busy shared inbox with accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, timely advice to managers and employees on HR policies and day-to-day employment law matters.
• Manage contracts, offer letters, changes to terms, family leave and leavers.
• Own the central HR inbox and coordinate queries across the business.
• Identify improvements to HR guidance, FAQs, processes and system automation.
• Support employee relations cases, absences, performance, disciplinary and grievances.
