Job summary

Jobs4 in Canterbury, Kent, is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join a manufacturing business on a full-time, permanent basis. The role is office-based with 1 day per week hybrid working and offers a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.

You will provide day-to-day HR advice, support employee relations and recruitment, implement HR policies, manage payroll-related tasks, and help with workforce planning and reporting. A CIPD qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a HR Advisor or Senior HR Administration role.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience managing employee relations cases.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• CIPD qualified or studying towards CIPD would be advantageous.
• Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or similar environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
• Support employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance matters.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently across the business.
• Support managers with employee development and workforce planning.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with payroll-related administration and employee changes.
• Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Produce and analyse HR reports and management information.
• Keep up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice.
