Job summary

Briggs Marine is seeking an HR Advisor to join the HR team in Burntisland, offering hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day from home). The role focuses on building employee relations experience and developing toward an HR Business Partner position.

You will support a diverse, multi-site workforce, delivering practical HR guidance to managers and shaping HR processes for long-term career progression within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR environment.
• Exposure to employee relations casework and workplace investigations.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build credibility with managers and employees at all levels.
• Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting a multi-site workforce would be advantageous.
• Trade union exposure would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Eager to learn, develop and take the next step in your HR career.

Responsibilities

• Manage a range of employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and investigation cases.
• Provide practical and commercially focused HR advice to managers.
• Coach and support managers in handling people issues effectively and confidently.
• Build strong relationships across multiple locations and varied employee groups.
• Prepare HR documentation and maintain accurate case records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes, policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver an effective and professional HR service.
