Job summary

Ryft Pay Ltd is seeking an HR Advisor to lead day-to-day HR delivery as the company scales its fintech team in the UK. You’ll own onboarding, offboarding, policy guidance and employee relations, while partnering with senior leadership on people strategy.

In a fast-moving environment you’ll implement compliant HR processes, manage contracts and records, and ensure right-to-work checks are completed accurately, helping to shape how we operate as we grow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor, HR Officer, or similar generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and practical application.
• Experience handling employee relations casework independently and judicious escalation when needed.

Responsibilities

• Be the day-to-day face of HR for managers and employees; handle policy interpretation, performance management, absence and employee relations.
• Advise on and support employee relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, PIP) with the Finance Director; ensure fair process and documentation.
• Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding: contracts, right-to-work checks, new starter setup, exit interviews and leaver admin.
• Maintain and improve HR policies and the employee handbook; ensure alignment with UK law and FCA conduct standards.
• Keep HR systems, records, and audits-ready (HRIS, contracts, absence tracking, benefits).
• Support the annual people cycle: probation reviews, performance reviews, salary/benefits benchmarking with timely admin.
• Help managers navigate difficult conversations with practical, actionable guidance rather than just policy citations.
• Flag process or policy gaps to Finance Director based on patterns in queries and casework.
• Assist recruitment coordination: offer letters, referencing, onboarding logistics.
