Job summary

MacIntyre is seeking an experienced HR Advisor specialising in Employee Relations to join our Milton Keynes Central Office. This full-time, office-based role supports managers with practical, legally compliant HR advice across the full employee lifecycle and may involve some national travel.

You will handle disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance, and TUPE matters, coach leaders, develop policies, and contribute to People Team projects while upholding our values.

Qualifications

• At least three years' HR Advisory experience with a strong focus on Employee Relations.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
• Ability to build trusted relationships whilst providing balanced, commercially aware HR advice.
• Excellent written communication skills and documentation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for managers, providing proactive HR advice and coaching.
• Managing a varied Employee Relations caseload including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, capability, performance, UK Right to Work, flexible working and family leave.
• Coaching managers to build confidence, capability and great people management practices.
• Promoting colleague wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion in everything you do.
• Providing practical, legally compliant advice that balances employment law, policy and business needs.
• Supporting organisational change, restructures and TUPE projects where required.
• Developing HR policies, guidance and management resources.
• Supporting and delivering HR training, People initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Using HR data and insight to identify trends, manage risk and improve people practices.
• Building strong relationships with colleagues across multiple locations, with occasional travel to services.
