Job summary

Lookers Motor Group Limited is seeking an HR Advisor to provide sound HR advice to line managers and manage employee relations matters. The role involves supporting managers in disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management, with travel to Newcastle Head Office from the UK.

You will contribute to updating policies, maintaining ER records, and ensuring compliance with employment law, while enjoying a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor role.
• Experience handling full range of employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence).
• Ability to influence, challenge appropriately and make independent decisions.
• Strong relationship-building in a changing, diverse business environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide sound HR advice to line managers on employee relations matters.
• Support managers with disciplinaries, grievances, performance and absence management.
• Refer employees to Occupational Health and support reasonable adjustments.
• Assist HR Managers on complex people matters and maintain ER documentation.
• Keep ER templates, guidelines and company policies up to date and compliant.
