Advocate Group is recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised consumer brand for an experienced HR Advisor (Employee Relations) to join their HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

In this role you will deliver expert Employee Relations support, manage complex ER casework, and work closely with managers to drive commercially aware people solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing high-volume, complex Employee Relations casework.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice.
  • Experience in an HR Advisor or Employee Relations-focused role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to balance commercial priorities with fair and consistent decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Confidence handling sensitive conversations and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of complex ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, conduct, harassment, discrimination).
  • Provide expert advice to managers on ER issues and company policies.
  • Lead investigations, hearings, and formal consultation processes.
  • Assess risk and recommend pragmatic, commercially balanced solutions.
  • Support organisational change activity (restructures, redundancies, design initiatives).
  • Coach managers to build ER confidence and capability.
  • Identify trends from cases and improve ER policies and processes.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure legal/compliance alignment.
  • Provide cross-HR support as needed.

The Advocate Group are recruiting on behalf of an incredible, globally recognised consumer product brand, for an experienced HR Advisor (Employee Relations) to join their HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing organisation where you'll play a key role in delivering expert Employee Relations support across a diverse and fast-paced business. Working closely with managers and HR colleagues, you'll provide commercially focused advice, manage complex ER casework and support organisational change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high volume of complex Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, conduct, harassment and discrimination matters.
  • Provide expert advice to managers on Employee Relations issues, UK employment law and company policies.
  • Lead and support investigations, hearings and formal consultation processes.
  • Assess risk and recommend pragmatic, commercially balanced solutions.
  • Support organisational change activity, including restructures, redundancies and organisational design initiatives.
  • Coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in handling Employee Relations matters.
  • Identify trends through case analysis and contribute to continuous improvement of ER policies and processes.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal governance.
  • Provide support across wider HR activities as required, working collaboratively with the HR team.
About You

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor with a strong background in Employee Relations who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex people challenges.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing high-volume, complex Employee Relations casework.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and Employee Relations best practice.
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or Employee Relations-focused HR role.
