Job summary

Anderson Recruitment Ltd is supporting a dynamic online retailer near Gloucester in their search for an experienced HR Advisor on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role covers UK operations, reporting to the HR Business Partner and partnering with the HR Administrator to ensure effective people management.

You will manage employee relations cases, absence management, policy reviews, training, payroll liaison, and engagement actions, while staying compliant with UK employment law and supporting

Qualifications

• Experience advising on employee relations and investigations.
• Ability to support managers with absence management and flexible working requests.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, performance management and flexible working requests.
• Support managers with short and long-term absence management, welfare meetings, return-to-work processes and occupational health referrals.
• Provide clear commercially focused HR advice to managers and employees on day-to-day people matters.
• Review and update HR policies, procedures and supporting documentation to reflect legislation.
• Develop and deliver practical HR training and coaching.
• Support the development, implementation and monitoring of employee engagement survey action plans.
• Working closely with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes and resolve pay-related queries.
• Maintain accurate employee relations records, case documentation and HR information.
• Assist with the implementation of employment law changes and wider HR projects.
