Job summary

Cherry Professional are recruiting an experienced HR professional for a Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner role on a 6-month fixed-term contract in Nottingham City Centre. The role focuses on keeping HR operations running smoothly while supporting a major HR systems implementation project.

You will provide practical day-to-day HR advice, handle employee relations, develop HR policies, and support recruitment and onboarding across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or HR Manager.
• Strong generalist HR knowledge across the full employee lifecycle.
• Significant employee relations experience.
• Experience creating, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Hands-on approach with willingness to support HR administration.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred).
• Experience supporting HR systems or projects would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
• Managing a broad range of employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues.
• Drafting, reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle administration.
• Ensuring HR records and documentation remain accurate and compliant.
• Advising managers on employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Assisting with organisational change and workforce matters where required.
• Supporting HR reporting and HR system administration.
• Collaborating with the wider HR team to ensure a high-quality people service is delivered across the organisation.
