Job summary

hireful is seeking a People Advisor to deliver a professional HR advisory service across the organisation, partnering with managers to drive success. The role is hybrid, based primarily in St Helens with travel to Liverpool and Warrington.

You will need CIPD Level 5 or equivalent, solid experience in employee relations, and strong IT HR system skills. The salary is £36,651 on a 2-year contract, supporting a proactive, people-centred approach.

How about this People Advisor role, on a 2 Yearcontract, working for a social housing / housing development organisation. Salary £36,651

In this key role, you will deliver a professional, people-focused service across the organisation, partnering directly with key stakeholders in departments across the organisation, to drive success.

This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home each week. Your main office location will be St Helens but you will also travel regularly to the Liverpool and Warrington offices.

What You ll Be Doing

• Managing ER cases, providing expert advice to managers, and ensuring alignment with employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Leading on attendance management (including return-to-work and long-term cases) and supporting performance management, capability, and development plans.
• Supporting recruitment, retention, apprenticeship programmes, and talent development across the business.
• Contributing to People Strategy delivery, corporate initiatives, learning needs identification, and transformation projects.
• Partnering productively with trade unions and building collaborative relationships with leadership teams.
• Maintaining accurate HR data records, efficient processes, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and equality standards.

What We re Looking For

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards), or equivalent practical experience if not qualified.
• Proven experience in a People/HR Advisory role, handling a broad spectrum of employee relations matters.
• Strong background in supporting managers through performance, absence, and conduct processes.
• High level of IT literacy and confidence using modern HR systems and data.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent workload management skills, with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
