Job summary

Adaptable Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the busy People team in Merseyside. This hybrid role offers GBP35,000 and the chance to influence employee relations across the business.

You'll advise managers on UK employment law, support absence and performance matters, deliver training on HR best practice, and help shape policies to boost engagement and retention. CIPD Level 5 or on-track studies is preferred.

We're recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy and supportive People team. This is a varied role that will see you working closely with managers across the business, providing expert guidance on employee relations matters while helping to create a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

The Role

No two days will be the same. You'll take ownership of a broad range of employee relations cases, from absence and performance management through to disciplinary and grievance matters, providing practical, balanced advice that helps managers make the right decisions.

Beyond casework, you'll be a trusted partner to operational leaders, helping them build confidence in managing their teams, improving people processes and supporting wider HR initiatives that drive engagement and retention.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing employee relations cases from start to finish.

What They're Looking For

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor position, with responsibility for managing employee relations cases independently.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting managers in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence dealing with sensitive and sometimes challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• CIPD Level 5 qualified or currently studying towards it.
• Someone who is approachable, pragmatic and genuinely enjoys helping people solve problems.
