AM2PM is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor. Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience or qualifications in HR?
The role is office-based, but there may be times when you are required to enter the Factory environment, working in an FMCG factory environment which can be noisy and refrigerated in some areas. As a HR Advisor, you will work Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.
What will your role entail as a HR Advisor?
You will ensure the effective day-to-day running of the HR office by setting up, monitoring, and continually improving systems and procedures. You will provide a comprehensive and professional service to all internal and external customers within procedural and economic constraints.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advice on all ER matters and ensuring complaints and disciplinary hearings are conducted in line with guidelines, adopting best practices.
- Offering advice and guidance to managers on our Absence Policy and Procedures.
- Managing long-term sickness cases and involving Occupational Health when appropriate.
- Being the first point of contact for maternity, paternity, and flexible working cases.
- Processing new starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
- Supporting managers with probationary review meetings, including potential outcomes like extension or dismissal.
- Managing and reviewing 60-hour process breaches, flagging potential breaches to HRO/Line Manager.
- Supporting HR-related projects.
- Responding to telephone and email queries.
- Carrying out exit interviews, recording data, and analyzing trends.
- Supporting the Resourcing department and line managers with interviews for various vacancies.
- Assisting with the company's induction program for new starters.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Up-to-date experience and confidence in using Microsoft Office and HR packages.
- Good knowledge of employment law.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or fast-paced organization.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
- A drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results.
- Results-oriented with an emphasis on quality and teamwork.
- Methodical with attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to handle conflict/confrontation effectively.
- A high level of personal integrity, demonstrating respect and empathy for others, being consistent, open, and honest.
- Proven unionized environment experience is beneficial but not essential.
