Job Description
The key responsibilities for the HR Advisor role are:
Human Resources
- Act as first response to general employee enquiries and manage the HR Inbox.
- Support the Group Senior HR Advisor in Employee Relations such as capability investigations, mediations, grievances, and disciplinaries.
- Provide end-to-end ER support to managers for low-risk cases and performance management.
- Update and maintain HR profiles on PeopleHR, ensuring all documentation is stored correctly.
- Chase for new starter documentation, such as qualifications, medical questionnaires, proof of right to work in the UK, proof of address, and proof of ID.
- Proactively ensure that new starters have all necessary equipment and receive adequate training during onboarding.
- Log visa expiry dates on PeopleHR and chase for renewal paperwork in a timely manner.
- Update confidential information using the internal HR system, respecting confidentiality and Data Protection.
- Generate monthly reports on HR data (e.g., absenteeism, turnover) and proactively raise concerns to the Group Senior HR Advisor.
- Identify opportunities and solutions for process improvements.
Learning and Development
- Assist in creating eLearning resources to support learning across departments.
- Deliver training to junior employees, e.g., Mentor scheme, New Starters.
- Manage all aspects of the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Own the competency matrix, updating it as job descriptions change and new roles are added.
- Update training records on PeopleHR for all staff, ensuring records are current and complete.
- Provide feedback and data on learning activities and identify future training needs based on metrics.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
- Willingness to study for CIPD Level 5.
- Previous experience in HR administration.
- Ability to learn quickly and start contributing immediately.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to adapt rapidly and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong prioritization skills.
- Personable with excellent relationship-building abilities.
