  • Knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Experience in manufacturing or food industry HR desirable.

Job description

The HR Advisor is a credible and proactive member of the HR Team supporting the HR Business Partner with managing the day-to-day HR operations through the delivery of an effective and efficient generalist HR advisory service, aligned with best practices and legal requirements.

The HR Advisor plays a crucial role in implementing HR policies and procedures in line with the overall people and business strategy. They provide advice and support on Employee Relations cases, wellbeing reviews, and Employee Engagement initiatives.

  6. Learning and Development initiatives
  7. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

  9. Recruitment and onboarding processes
  10. Effective Communication and Leadership
  11. Employee Engagement

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in HR project work and provide feedback for improvements
  • Attend HR meetings, conferences, development activities, and travel to other sites as required
  • Support operational business partners in delivering business objectives
  • Manage HR administrative requests via ticket system, adhering to SLAs
  • Provide professional advice to support change initiatives
  • Maintain financial awareness in decision-making, including cost-conscious practices
  • Support employee experience and staff engagement initiatives
  • Support KPI delivery, including site absence, retention, labor turnover, and agency percentage targets

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or similar role
  • Ability to advise and collaborate with senior staff
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems
  • Knowledge of employment legislation
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels
  • Driven, determined, practical, and logical problem-solver
  • Appropriate CIPD qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or food industry HR
