Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Northampton (Pineham) is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our on-site team.

This full-time role supports operations across warehouse and transport, delivers expert HR guidance on employee relations and performance, and helps drive our people strategy. You will be a visible, influential HR partner, building relationships with managers to improve engagement, performance, and an inclusive culture at the site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure, in a fast-moving environment.
• Solid knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice, including trade unions
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified (or working towards CIPD qualification)

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers across warehouse and transport operations, providing professional HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, and people matters
• Manage a variety of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, and long-term sickness processes
• Build strong relationships across the site through a visible HR presence, coaching managers and supporting colleagues at all levels
• Drive employee engagement initiatives, contributing to a positive culture and helping to create an environment where colleagues can thrive
• Analyse people data, identify trends, and support the delivery of the site people plan, HR projects, and wider business objectives

Job description

At GXO, we're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at our Northampton (Pineham) site. This is an exciting opportunity to become a trusted advisor to operational leaders across both warehouse and transport functions, providing expert HR support and helping to deliver our people strategy. As a visible and influential member of the HR team, you'll play a key role in driving employee engagement, supporting organisational performance, managing complex employee relations matters, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

This is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 hours per week contracted. Based on-site Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.
